Late '90s icon Shannon Elizabeth is embracing a new beginning and a different side to her career as a performer. The actress, known for her work in the "American Pie" franchise, is launching an OnlyFans account, claiming that she wants to control her image and find a new way to connect with her followers.

“I've spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career. This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans,” she said.
She endorsed the service and shared her belief that more and more actors would be turning to it for profits. “I'm choosing OnlyFans because it allows me to connect directly with my audience, create on my own terms, and just be free. I really do think this is the future," she said.
Elizabeth will be launching her OnlyFans account on April 16th.

In the past, Elizabeth has discussed her status as a sex symbol and her infamous "American Pie" character, Nadia, a beautiful foreign exchange student that's the fixation of many of her male counterparts. Her character is one of the most memorable, and one that she doesn't identify much with.
“For me, it was a role, it was playing a character,” she said in an interview with Entertainment News. “But even in my real life, I'm just not the girl who likes to be naked, ever.”
© Getty Images“Even at home I'm always covered up,” she continued. “Like I have friends that sleep in the nude and they don't mind walking around that way. That was never me, but because that was kind of my coming out, everyone assumed I was that girl.”
Still, despite her differences from her character, she's very grateful for the experience. “Everything I've done in my life is because of American Pie," she said. Since her "American Pie" breakout in 1999, Elizabeth has starred in many notable projects, among them "Love Actually," "Scary Movie," "Thir13en Ghosts," and the Enrique Iglesias music video for "Be with You."
