After an extraordinary year, Bad Bunny marked his 32nd birthday by reconnecting with his fans. The Puerto Rican superstar, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, shared a rare photo on Instagram moments before blowing out the candles on his birthday cake. The post came after he cleared his entire feed a month ago.

The image quickly went viral, collecting over 8 million likes within hours. The photo shows Bad Bunny in front of a small heart-shaped cake, ready to make a birthday wish. His caption was simple: “32.”

Dressed in an elegant black suit, similar to the one he wore during a recent performance in Japan, he smiles as he raises a glass to toast another year of life and success.

The birthday celebration comes after what has arguably been the biggest year of Bad Bunny’s career. He made history, becoming the first Latin American performer to headline the halftime show at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

He also won Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards for his album "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," becoming the first Spanish-language album ever to win the category.

Days before his birthday, Bad Bunny performed in Tokyo, where he headlined a private concert organized by Spotify as part of its Billions Club Live, getting fans dancing on March 7.

In a recent conversation with Residente for Billboard, Bad Bunny opened up about the deeper meaning behind his success. Residente asked him what mattered most beyond financial success and chart achievements.

“That can’t be stolen, that can’t be bought,” he said of the impact of his work. “Seeing different generations there and the environment around the shows—that fills me the most.”

Bad Bunny also revealed the inspiration behind his album, sharing that he once lost a roll of photos during a tour. He revealed that he loves photography and hopes to exhibit his work one day. In fact, he says he currently has over 32,000 photos saved on his phone.

He said that he often doesn't know how to balance staying in the present and capturing photos for the future, a topic that comes up again and again in the record. “Sometimes I wear a great outfit and never take a picture,” he said. “I just enjoy the moment and later think, ‘I should’ve taken more photos.’”

For his 32nd birthday, he made sure to capture a moment of the celebration, allowing fans a brief look into the moment.
