Cameron Diaz is handling motherhood, the rain, and what looks like some serious business. The actress was spotted out in New York City on Wednesday, moving through the day like a busy mom on the go.

She was on kid duty, and what looked like an important phone call. Her sighting comes amid rumors of a Charlie's Angels reboot.

Diaz looked effortlessly cool, bundled up in a black puffer jacket, relaxed joggers, chunky black boots, and her hair pulled into a messy top knot. Glasses on, phone in hand, wired headphones trailing.

After the phone call, she was on double-kid duty, holding hands with her daughter, Raddix, and carrying her son, Cardinal, whom she shares with husband Benji Madden

Charlie's Angels chatter

The Mask star's low-key outing comes just as chatter ramps up around a new Charlie’s Angels movie reportedly in early development at Sony Pictures. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news last week, reporting that the studio hired Pete Chiarelli, known for The Proposal and the adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians, to write the script.

An insider told THR that Drew Barrymore's production company, Flower Films, which made the first film, is back for the reboot.

Fans, naturally, have gone straight to nostalgia, floating the idea of a reunion with Diaz alongside Barrymore and Lucy Liu, the trio that defined the franchise for a generation in the early 2000s.

But a source told TMZ it's too early to talk about casting because it's so early in development.

After stepping away from acting following Annie in 2014, Diaz shifted her focus toward family life with her husband. She famously came out of retirement in 2022 to shoot Jamie Foxx's Netflix action-comedy Back in Action, which was released in 2025.

She said in an interview that Madden was actually the one who encouraged her to get back into acting. She went all in, and her next film, Outcome, starring Keanu Reeves and written by, directed, and starring Jonah Hill, is set to release on April 10. She is also returning as the voice of Fiona in Shrek 5.

According to her IMDb, she's filming the action comedy Bad Day, about a single mother struggling to fulfill a small promise to her daughter during the most devastating day she's ever faced.

She's also in pre-production for an Untitled Cameron Diaz-Stephen Merchant Romantic Comedy and Grant Singer's Reenactment, starring Ana de Armas and Benicio Del Toro.

So while we don't know if Diaz will be starring in a Charlie's Angels reboot, we can be excited, knowing she's definitely returning to our screens.
