Jenna Ortega and Catherine Zeta-Jones are having a very different reunion. The two actresses, who play mother and daughter in the Netflix series "Wednesday," are collaborating on a new movie. "The Gallerist" has just released it's first trailer, teasing a very different type of story even if it's still pretty dark.

The film, starring Natalie Portman, is set against the backdrop of Miami Art Basel and follows a struggling gallery owner who sees a bloody opportunity and decides to make a profit. After an annoying influencer dies accidentally in her gallery, she and her assistant (Ortega) decide to leave his body there, passing it off as art.

Unbelievably, the body turns her gallery into an overnight success story, sparking thousands of people to stop by for a visit.

The film is directed by Cathy Yan and premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival. It's scheduled to premiere in theaters on Dec. 4th. Its ensemble cast includes Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Daniel Brühl, and Charli XCX.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Ortega and Portman bonded over their past as child actors and how it's something that affects the way people speak to them years later. “If she’s still dealing with this, this is something that is just going to be a part of my life, and I have to accept that and do what I can to still be comfortable with taking up my space," said Ortega.

Ortega and Zeta-Jones's relationship

Jenna Ortega is one of the most famous stars of her generation, having worked with some of the world's best actors and filmmakers. In the case of Catherine Zeta-Jones, the two have been collaborators for years, playing mother and daughter as Morticia and Wednesday Addams on the hit series "Wednesday."

In season 2, Zeta-Jones played a larger role, with the series paying closer attention to her dynamic with her daughter. “Morticia Addams is such an iconic image visually, and we didn’t want to deviate and go away from that at all,” Zeta-Jones told Deadline in May of this year.

“But we certainly wanted to find out more about who Morticia Addams is and the growing contentious relationship she has with her daughter and how caring she is as the matriarch of the family. Then having those moments with Jenna, where we get to sword fight and take our verbal play into a physical… it was just great. It was a lot of fun.”
