Bad Bunny reportedly restores Puerto Rico building for Gabriela Berlingeri, names it ‘La Gabriela’

Fans of Bad Bunny are buzzing after reports surfaced that the Puerto Rican superstar may have restored an abandoned building on the Paseo de Diego in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, and named it “La Gabriela," possibly in honor of his rumored girlfriend, Gabriela Berlingeri. 

The building, which previously housed La Juguetería and later a Foot Locker, had remained vacant for years until its recent transformation, sparking excitement on social media as a potential sign of urban investment and personal tribute.

According to posts on X (formerly Twitter), the renovation may be linked to Gabriela’s birthday celebration in December 2025. Photographs of the building’s new signage have circulated online, although no official confirmation has been provided.

If verified, the project could reflect Bad Bunny’s ongoing connection to Puerto Rico and his personal history there. The story has fueled speculation about the couple’s relationship. Gabriela accompanied Bad Bunny to the Grammys and attended his Super Bowl halftime show, igniting rumors of a reconciliation. 

Social media users have eagerly shared images and videos of the building, further fueling discussions among fans about whether the gesture signifies a rekindling of romance.

The rumors intensified after the couple was spotted in São Paulo, Brazil, following a dinner on February 18, 2026. Videos circulated online showing Bad Bunny exiting a restaurant with Gabriela, engaging warmly with fans, and posing for photos.

According to eyewitness accounts, Gabriela departed slightly ahead, leaving the singer to interact with admirers. The visit coincides with two upcoming concerts at Allianz Parque on February 20 and 21, as part of his global tour Debí Tirar Más Fotos, followed by shows in Sydney, Australia, on February 28 and March 1, possibly accompanied by Gabriela.

The connection between Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez, and Gabriela Berlingeri traces back to 2017. In a 2020 interview with Rolling Stone, the singer shared how they met at a restaurant while he was having dinner with his family.

Their public debut as a couple came in 2021 at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, and Gabriela gradually became involved in Bad Bunny’s creative world, contributing vocals to tracks like 'El Apagón' and 'En Casita.'

Gabriela shared a photo with Lady Gaga, writing: “Alexa, play ‘So Happy I Could Die.’” Fans interpreted this as a sign of Gabriela’s proximity to Bad Bunny, not just as a former partner but as part of his inner circle.
