Jake Paul was overcome with emotion as he watched his fiancée, Jutta Leerdam, power to gold in the women’s 1,000m speed skating final at Milano Cortina 2026 on Monday, Feb. 9. The YouTuber and boxer burst into tears when Leerdam sealed victory with an Olympic record performance.

The Dutch athlete, 27, stormed to victory in the 1,000m event against defending champion Miho Takagi, 31, at the Milano Speed Skating Stadium in Italy. Leerdam clocked just over 26 seconds for one lap, and erased almost three tenths of a second off 25-year-old teammate Femke Kok's record 1:12.59 to claim gold, the first of the games for the Netherlands, in 1:12.31.
