Together, they represent a carefully balanced cast and a celebration of the brand’s heritage alongside its ongoing evolution toward diversity, inclusivity, and modern storytelling.

A Legacy of Glamour and Criticism

For two decades, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was a cultural force. From the late 1990s into the 2010s, it was a lingerie show and a global event that fused fashion, music, and pop culture. With performances from Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Cher, Lisa, and more, the VS runway became a star-making platform as much for the Angels as for the musicians.

But as times changed, the brand struggled. By 2019, controversies forced Victoria’s Secret to cancel the annual spectacle. In the years since, the brand has embarked on a public reinvention, embracing models of all sizes and backgrounds, reshaping its board with female leadership, and pivoting its marketing toward empowerment rather than exclusivity.

This year’s show is arriving at the perfect cultural moment. Fashion is once again embracing maximalism, live events are reclaiming space in the streaming world, and audiences are nostalgic for early-2000s icons. At the same time, Gen Z’s influence demands authenticity, diversity, and representation.

The first six Angels embody this duality. Adriana and Lily bring back the glitter of the show’s golden age, while Alex Consani and Yumi Nu push forward with a new vision of beauty. Anok Yai and Joan Smalls ground the show in pure supermodel dominance, ensuring the runway will deliver unforgettable fashion moments.
