Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes have officially introduced the newest member of their family team.
Five months after welcoming their third child — a baby girl named Golden — the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his wife shared the first images of her face on Instagram on June 12.
The family portraits, taken by photographer Sarah Schneider, capture sweet moments with baby Golden, who already resembles her older siblings, Sterling, 4, and Bronze, 2. Dressed in a denim onesie and topped with a large white bow, Golden flashes a toothless smile in one photo as Brittany lovingly holds her.
Brittany and Patrick captioned their joint Instagram post with a simple but heartfelt message: “What truly matters.” The reveal comes three months after Brittany shared her intention to keep Golden off social media “for a while.”
Still, the 29-year-old gradually offered a few peeks of their daughter. In April, she posted a family photo for Easter featuring Golden, though her face remained hidden. The former soccer player also opened up about her experience as a mom of three and the importance of individual attention.
“Took our girl for some one on one time today,” Brittany wrote in a March Instagram Story, according to E News! “If you have more then one kiddo, I advise to still make one on one time with each of them!”
Patrick also expressed his joy at becoming a dad for the third time.
“Brittany crushed it,” he said during a Chiefs press conference shortly after Golden’s birth, according to PEOPLE. “It’s been cool to add another baby girl to our family and see how my other kids react to her.”
As for whether the Mahomes family might expand even more in the future, the couple says they're done...for now.
“My goal has always been three,” Patrick added at the time. “We’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”
