Lourdes Leon opted for a throwback to a different era in some new family photos. The model and singer spent the weekend with her family celebrating Mother's Day, with her and her siblings hanging out with their mom, Madonna, as they enjoyed nature and the outdoors.
Leon opted for a striped black and white look reminiscent of '90s fashion. She wore a long dress with thick black and white stripes. The way she styled her hair was also reminiscent of the fashion of the era, with her highlighting its long length and dark color by straightening it until it landed at around her upper stomach.
Leon paired the dress with some black lace flats.
The photos were originally shared by Madonna, who was celebrating Mother's Day with five of her six children. "I spent Mother’s Day weekend with 5 of my 6 children. Sunshine laughter, horseback riding. soccer, and the sound of music!" she wrote.
In the post, Madonna shared photos with each of her kids, including one with Leon, where she's seen sporting another '90s trademark style: the cheetah print. This style was huge during the era, being worn by celebrities and trend setters on coats, skirts, shirts, and more for a glamorous and feminine look.
Leon is seen wearing a cheetah print jacket as she hugs her mother, who's also wearing a coat but has opted for black, and paired it all with other black accessories, including gloves, sunglasses, and a warm hat.
Lourdes' future in music
In recent years, Leon has begun sharing music under her stage name LOLAHOL. In an interview, she revealed that her path towards making music was a meandering one, starting with her interest in the arts and dance and now manifesting as something more cohesive.
“I grew up doing ballet until I was 19, and when I went to [SUNY] Purchase, I discovered modern dance, and it changed my life because I knew I didn’t want to be a ballet dancer, I wasn’t emotionally connected to it,” she said.
“I think dance and music are synonymous."
