Mick Jagger and Melanie Hamrick are engaged! The couple confirmed the news recently, revealing that they've been engaged for the past two or three years.
© FilmMagic"We've been engaged two or three years," said Hamrick, 37, in an interview with Paris Match. Even though she and Jagger, 82, are engaged, they appear to want to take things slowly, enjoying their long engagement.
"Maybe one day we'll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything," she said.
© WireImage for Vanity FairHamrick discussed other parts of her relationship, including the secret to their happiness, which is based on supporting and being there for each other. "Make sure everyone is happy," she added. "That's all that matters to me and all I strive for."
Hamrick had previously discussed the possibility of engagement when she released her novel "First Position" and was photographed wearing a large diamond ring on her left ring finger. "In my mind, it's a promise ring. We'll be immature and call it a promise ring," she said in an interview with PEOPLE.

Jagger and Hamrick have been dating since 2014 and share a son named Deveraux. The pair met backstage at a Rolling Stones concert in Japan, but Jagger was in a relationship. The pair reunited a few months later once Jagger was single, with her inviting her to a trip to Zurich.
Hamrick is a dancer and a novelist, and while she and Jagger have collaborated on a creative project, she revealed that she prefers to keep work out of their relationship.
"We are in such similar careers, to keep it separate is better. You're working with the person all day, and then you're with them at night. It's like, too much of each other," she said to PEOPLE.
