Cameron Diaz's husband, Benji Madden, has great respect for her. In fact, he makes it clear there's a certain "fear" when it comes to opposing her strong views and opinions. Benji and his brother Joel were recently featured in Rob Lowe's podcast "Literally," where they shared some insight into their relationships with famous women like Diaz and Nicole Richie.
The brothers were discussing their relationships with Lowe. "Go against my wife? Good luck. I don't even need to get involved," said Benji.
"We all respect our wives. They are absolutely our counterparts and we all have a healthy fear of our wives," added Joel. When discussing Richie, he said, "You do not f*ck with her. That's the queen."
Benji compared Diaz and Richie to "forces of nature," sharing the importance of building a partnership yet allowing them to have the space they want and need in their lives.
"When you think about the powerful women that are just these forces of nature — I think all of our wives are interesting in the fact that they also don't want to be with a pushover guy," continued Benji. "They still need a strong counterpart, but you have to also not have the ego."

Madden and Diaz married in 2014, with the two getting engaged seven months after they first started dating. They now share two kids, Raddix, 5, and Cardinal, 1.
While the two enjoy their privacy and prefer to shield their kids from the media, they've often talked about their partnership and why they value each other's presence in their lives.
"He's really taught me to value myself a lot more," said Diaz in a 2022 appearance on the "Rule Breakers" podcast.
"With our marriage, I learned how to really go all in. Nothing else comes before this. It's not hard to do because [our marriage is] the most valuable thing I have."
