Gisele Bündchen is remembering her mother a year after her death. The Brazilian model shared a short but touching tribute on social media, remembering her mother Vania Nonnenmacher by sending her a special message.

Bündchen shared a photo of her mother on Instagram, showing what appears to be a selfie. The photo shows Nonnenmacher on the beach, wearing a hat and some glasses, and smiling brightly for the camera.

"Mom, it’s been a year today since you left us, you are really missed here," wrote Bündchen in Portuguese.

"Thank you for being the greatest example of love, kindness, charity, strength and courage. I love you always and forever!"

Nonnenmacher died last year at the age of 75, greatly impacting Bündchen, who has shared various tributes over the past months.

Bündchen's moving tribute to her mother

While Bündchen guards her personal life, she shared a sweet and touching tribute a month after her mother's passing, filled with photos of the two hugging and having a great time together. 

The post was filled with some of the most important moments of Bündchen's life, showing her mother over the years with her kids and her grandkids. "Beloved mom, It hurts to know that I won’t be able to hug you anymore, but I know that you will always be watching over us," she wrote at the time. "Thank you for giving me five best friends for life," she wrote, referencing her siblings. "Your love will always guide us."

Bundchen is currently expecting her first child with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente

Bündchen is currently pregnant with her third child and the first with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente. While celebrating December 31st, she shared a message for her followers, showing them how she's planning to spend her energy in the coming year.

“May you choose to nurture your energy in ways that fill your heart with love and compassion—for yourself and for others,” she wrote. 

“Wishing you endless blessings and an extraordinary journey ahead. Let’s make 2025 an amazing year! Sending so much love to all.”
