Queen Mathilde of Belgium reunited with her daughter Princess Elisabeth ahead of the United Nations General Assembly. Prior to traveling to New York, Her Majesty made a "detour" to Massachusetts to see her 23 year old at her school in the United States.

On Sept. 29, the Belgian Royal Palace released photos of the mother and daughter together on Harvard's campus. "🤩 Quick detour in Boston before the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York," the images were captioned (translated to English). "The Queen enjoyed her trip to New York last week to meet Princess Elisabeth on the @harvard. campus 🤍👋."

After visiting Boston, the Queen made her way to New York City, where she participated in the United Nations General Assembly as an Advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals.

Mathilde and King Philippe's daughter Elisabeth is in her second year at Harvard University, pursuing a master's degree in public policy. The Princess began her studies at the Harvard Kennedy School last year after graduating with her bachelor’s degree in history and politics from Lincoln College, University of Oxford.

A "fake" photo of the Princess with Prince Georg of Liechtenstein recently went viral. While the Belgian Royal Palace had previously told outlets, "We are aware but are not commenting. We don't even know if it's a real photo or AI," the private secretary of Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein has since confirmed that the picture is not real. Soir mag reported on Sept. 29 that the Prince's private secretary told them, "This photograph does not show HSH Prince Georg of Liechtenstein; it is a fake created with the help of artificial intelligence."

Belgian royal journalist, Wim Dehandschutter, told HOLA! USA's sister brand HELLO! that "Elisabeth and Georg" would "certainly be a wonderful royal match." Wim said, "Royal families are close in general, and Belgians and Liechtensteiners know each other well; there are branches. Their parents are colleagues, friends, in some way family. Elisabeth and Georg are believed to have known each other since childhood."

Princess Elisabeth, who is first in line to the Belgian throne, is the eldest of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde's children, while 26-year-old Prince Georg is Hereditary Prince Alois and Hereditary Princess Sophie's third child.
