Prince Harry seems to have had a change of heart about traveling to the United Kingdom with his kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. In a recent interview with The Guardian, the Duke of Sussex was asked if he would like to one day bring his children to his native country. "Yes I would. This week has definitely brought that closer," Harry said.

Days earlier, the Prince reunited with his father King Charles in London. His Majesty and his younger son had a private tea at Clarence House on Sept. 10. The reunion marked the first time that Harry had seen his dad since February of 2024, following Buckingham Palace's announcement that the monarch had been diagnosed with a form of cancer.

Prince Harry's latest remarks about his kids come months after he told BBC News that he could not "see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the UK at this point. And the things that they're going to miss is well everything." In his interview after losing his appeal in his security case against the UK government, the Duke said: "I love my country, I always have done, despite what some people in that country have done... I miss the UK. I miss parts of the UK. Of course I do. And I think that it's really quite sad that I won't be able to show, you know, my children my homeland."

Harry reiterated his love for the UK in his new interview with The Guardian. "I have always loved the UK and I always will love the UK. It’s been good to reconnect with the causes I am passionate about," he said. "I have been able to spend some time with people that I have known for so long. It is hard to do it from far away.”

Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as working members of the royal family in 2020, reside in California with their two young kids. While Archie was born in the UK before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved across the Atlantic, Lilibet was born in Santa Barbara, California, but in 2022 she visited the UK with her family and celebrated her first birthday at Frogmore Cottage during the trip.

In his interview with The Guardian, Harry noted that he is not miserable. The dad of two said, "I am very happy with who I am and I like the life that I live." Prince Harry also stated that over the coming year, “the focus really has to be on my dad."
