King Charles has reunited with his younger son. Prince Harry met with his father in London on Wednesday, Sept. 10, for a private tea at Clarence House.

ITV NEWS' Chris Ship reported that the Duke of Sussex arrived at Clarence House at 5:20 p.m. local time, and less than an hour later wrote on X: "Unless he was waiting in a corridor for a long period of time, Prince Harry spent 55 minutes inside Clarence House meeting his father, King Charles."

The reunion marks the first time that Harry has seen his father since February of 2024. After Buckingham Palace announced that the King had been diagnosed with a form of cancer, Harry, who lives in California with his wife Meghan Markle and their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, traveled to the UK to see his father. Harry was pictured being driven to Clarence House on Feb 6, 2024. The Daily Mail reported at the time that the father and son had a “brief meeting."

Later that month, the Duke told GMA’s Will Reeve that he jumped on a plane and went to see his father as soon as he could after learning about Charles’ cancer diagnosis. Harry said, “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”

Earlier this year, Prince Harry expressed his desire to reconcile with his family. After losing his appeal in his security case against the UK government back in May, the Duke revealed to BBC News that his father wouldn't speak to him "because of this security stuff," but Harry admitted that it would be "nice to reconcile." Although it "would be nice to have that reconciliation part now," Harry noted that "if they don't want that, that's entirely up to them."

In the interview, the Duke also pointed out that some members of his family "will never" forgive him for writing his book, Spare. He said, "Of course, they will never forgive me for…lots of things. But, you know, there is- I would love reconciliation with my family. I've always, you know, there's no point in continuing to fight any more."

Harry added, "As I said, life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has."
