Crown Prince Christian of Denmark has been spotted at this year's Smukfest music festival...and not alone. Billed-Bladet reported on Aug. 8, with the headline (translated to English) "Romance in the Bøgeskoven: Crown Prince Christian takes Emma to Smukfest," that the heir to the Danish throne attended the event with "his Emma."
The outlet published pictures of Queen Mary and King Frederik's 19-year-old son at the music festival on Wednesday, standing behind Emma in one of the photos. According to Billed-Bladet, "The romance began to blossom long before they entered the beech forest" and that "they attended parallel classes together at Ordrup Gymnasium, and both graduated last year."
Billed-Bladet noted that the Royal House did not wish to comment.
SE og HØR has described Emma as the Crown Prince's "flame" and reported that the two were recently in the South of France, where they were "spotted in loving embraces and with warm kisses under the sun."
Emma is said to have been a guest at a private birthday celebration held at Amalienborg for Christian's 18-year-old sister Princess Isabella earlier this year.
The Crown Prince is the eldest of King Frederik and Queen Mary's four children: Christian, Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. He became first in line to the Danish throne upon his father's accession in January of 2024.
Christian, who began his military service at the Guard Hussar Regiment (Gardehusarregimentet) this past February, is set to begin his Lieutenant's Training Course this month. The Danish Royal House announced in May (translated to English): "The Crown Prince is now a Guards Hussar. In connection with serving his military service with the Guard Hussar Regiment, the Crown Prince has now also been admitted to the Lieutenant's Training Course. The training starts in early August 2025 and lasts one year plus a subsequent period of practical service as a platoon leader. The Crown Prince will complete his ongoing military service with the Guard Hussar Regiment at the end of May."
Previously speaking about his upcoming Lieutenant's Training, the Crown Prince said, "I'm really looking forward to that."
