Princess Eugenie took a walk down memory lane for her husband's recent birthday. King Charles' niece celebrated Jack Brooksbank turning 39 on May 3 with a heartfelt tribute on her personal Instagram.
Alongside a carousel of photos of Jack with her, as well as with their sons, Ernest and August, the Princess penned, "Happy Birthday to my hero. Gosh it's been 14 years and every birthday gets better as our family grows."
"Best Dada ever and the best memories with so many more to come. 🎉🥳🎂🎁🎈🎊," she continued.
The Princess led the carousel with a recent photo of her and Jack at the Bahrain Grand Prix last month, and ended it with a throwback photo of the two of them. Eugenie, 35, and Jack, 39, met while on a skiing holiday in Verbier, Switzerland. "We met when I was 20 and Jack was 24,” the Princess shared in their engagement interview. “And fell in love and we have the same passions and drive for life."
In the same interview, Jack revealed that it was "love at first sight." The couple went on to get engaged in January 2018 during a trip to Nicaragua. Recalling the proposal to BBC's The One Show, Eugenie said, "The lake was so beautiful. The light was just a special light I had never seen. I actually said this is an incredible moment, and then he popped the question, which was really surprising even though we have been together seven years, so I was over the moon."
Eugenie confessed that it was a "complete surprise," but noted "it was the perfect moment," adding, "We couldn't be happier cause we knew it was going to end up this way."
Jack and Eugenie wed on Oct. 12, 2018 at St. George's Chapel. On their sixth wedding anniversary last year, Eugenie, who is Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's younger daughter, shared a picture of her and Jack dancing seemingly at their reception. "Best day ever marrying you.. happy 6th anniversary my love. ❤️❤️❤️❤️💍💒," she captioned the post.
The Princess and her husband welcomed their first child, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, in February 2021, followed by their second son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, in May 2023. Eugenie has said that her kids make her "world go around." In an interview for The Anti-Slavery Collective in 2024, the mom of two said (via The Express), "Becoming a parent is the most special, mind-blowing experience of a person's life. My children make my world go around."
