The Queen wore an aquamarine tiara, which has previously been worn by the Duchess of Edinburgh, for the occasion. The sparkling headpiece complemented Camilla's velvet blue gown, said to be by Fiona Clare. Her Majesty completed her regal look with an aquamarine and diamond necklace and earrings.

In addition to the King and Queen, the Prince of Wales was also in attendance. The reception on Nov. 19 was held the day after it was announced that Queen Camilla's dog Beth had passed away.  "A sad farewell to Beth, The Queen’s much-loved companion from @Battersea Dogs and Cats Home who brought such joy, whether on walkies, helping on official duties, or curled up by the fire. 🐾," the royal family's official Instagram account revealed on Monday.

PEOPLE previously reported that it understands the Queen's dog had an untreatable tumor and had to be put down over the weekend. Camilla rescued Beth from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in 2011. The following year, Her Majesty adopted another Jack Russell Terrier named Bluebell from the charity, which the Queen has been patron of since 2016.

According to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home's website, "Beth was handed in to Battersea by a family who could no longer care for her, whilst poor Bluebell was just 4 weeks old when she was dumped in a London park, starving, shivering and suffering from a terrible skin condition that had left her almost bald.  It was love at first sight and, as we all feel about our pets, Her Majesty cannot imagine her home, or her sofa, without these colourful characters."

On Instagram, the charity wrote that it was "very sad to hear" that Beth had passed away. "Her Majesty, our Patron, rehomed Beth from Battersea in 2011 and we have many fond memories of Beth visiting our centres over the years," Battersea Dogs & Cats Home added. "Our thoughts are with Their Majesties at this time. We know how difficult it is to lose a beloved pet and Beth was very special indeed. 💙."
