With the arrival of spring, we leave behind the oversized coats and knee-high boots that defined winter and transition into slightly warmer days, when our wardrobes come back to life with vibrant hues and statement accessories.

Dua Lipa and Rihanna have made it clear: the butter yellow that dominated recent summers is officially out, making way for a much bolder, more vibrant shade of yellow.

The yellow bag: the new it-girl obsession?

Rihanna and Dua Lipa have cemented themselves as two of today’s most influential trendsetters. While their styles differ, both share a deep love for fashion and a strong sense of personal style. Fearless when it comes to standing out, they consistently set trends and fill their closets with the pieces every fashion lover covets.

From the streets of Paris to New York and Los Angeles, both stars know how to master street style, and their latest appearances were no exception.

Rihanna was spotted in Paris during a romantic evening date with A$AP Rocky as they headed to Siena, an Italian restaurant. The pair turned heads in coordinated monochromatic looks. The Fenty Beauty founder stood out in a rich burgundy ensemble featuring cargo pants and an oversized vest with frayed edges. Still, the true standout was her Dior bag, designed by Jonathan Anderson.

The piece is a book-cover-inspired Dior bag modeled after Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The bold, vibrant yellow design features striking red stitching that perfectly complements the dramatic “Dracula” lettering across the front.

The bag is part of a collection inspired by iconic literary covers, Jonathan Anderson’s first major launch at the helm of the French fashion house, similar to the tote recently carried by Rosalía in Madrid.

Meanwhile, Dua Lipa also opted for a vibrant statement bag while out in New York City, where she was seen heading to the Cherry Lane Theatre. The 30-year-old singer turned heads in a look that paired an asymmetrical animal-print skirt with an oversized striped blazer, layered over a crisp white shirt.

She completed the outfit with black leather boots and a yellow Louis Vuitton bag with camel leather detailing.

Why does yellow go with everything?

In the world of accessories, yellow has emerged as an unexpected styling staple. Far from being a difficult color, its brightness has the power to elevate any palette, from classic neutrals like black, white, beige, and gray to deeper tones like burgundy, navy, and olive green.

A yellow bag, pair of shoes, or even sunglasses works as a vibrant accent, adding freshness and personality without overwhelming a look.

Its versatility lies in its ability to break up monochrome outfits, brighten understated ensembles, and introduce a modern, chic touch, making it the kind of detail that can transform even the most minimalist outfit.
