The movie has been adapted to the screen numerous times, memorably by Pierce Brosnahan in 1999. Jordan takes over the emblematic role, facing off against an FBI agent (played by Arjona), who's been keeping track of his heights. Kenneth Branagh also joins the cast, playing the role of Crown's antagonist.

“I didn’t want a reboot. I wanted a reimagination," said Jordan to Variety, who adapted the film for a more contemporary audience.

"The first two films were about rich white guys stealing for fun. That doesn’t land today. Ours is more personal. The stakes are higher. Still got the fashion, romance.”

The trailer teases many James Bond-like moments, showing Jordan performing all sorts of heists and stunts in the midst of luxurious and stylish settings. It also teases a romantic dynamic with Arjona's FBI agent, adding an element of forbidden romance.

"I just had to come over and introduce myself," says Jordan. "Thomas Crown."

"I know exactly who you are," says Arjona. You can watch the full trailer below.

More details about The Thomas Crown Affair

This marks the third version of "The Thomas Crown Affair." The first came out in 1968, and Brosnan's version came out in 1999, including actors like Rene Russo, Denis Leary, and Faye Dunaway. Jordan's version is scheduled to come out on March 5th, 2027.

It marks Jordan's next project following his Academy Award-winning work in "Sinners." It's also his sophomore feature, with him directing "Creed III" in 2023.

The original version of the story follows Crown, a bored billionaire who decides to spice up his life by stealing a priceless piece of art, inspiring a cat-and-mouse game with an insurance investigator. Rounding out the film's cast are Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, and Pilou Asbæk.
