Deadline revealed this week that the Grammy-nominated artist is making his feature film debut in Viva La Madness, the latest action-thriller from director Guy Ritchie, with production currently underway in London.

The film marks a major pivot for the "Khé?" singer, who has spent the last decade releasing bangers and touring the world. But anyone who has seen him perform knows he's always given some theater kid energy. His Cosa Nuestra tour had a full-blown storyline with Alejandro showing off his acting chops in between songs.

He teased the upcoming news at the Grammy Awards with Billboard, and it seems like there is more than one movie on the way. “You’ll see Rauw in a few movies; we’re doing something great,” he said.

But don't worry, just because he's putting on his thespian hat doesn't mean he's going to stop making music.

Led by Jason Statham, the ensemble cast is stacked with familiar faces from Ritchie’s cinematic world and beyond. Joining Statham are Vinnie Jones, Jonny Lee Miller, and Babs Olusanmokun, all of whom have collaborated with the director before, alongside Jason Isaacs, Camila Mendes, and Ben Foster.

While plot details remain tightly guarded, the film is based on the novel Viva La Madness by J.J. Connolly, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ritchie.

Although Connolly’s novel follows his cult classic Layer Cake, the film adaptation is being positioned as a standalone story, rather than a sequel to the 2004 film adaptation directed by Matthew Vaughn.

Behind the scenes, the project is being produced by Punch Palace Productions, founded by Statham, alongside Lumina Studios, Toff Guy Films, and Black Bear. Black Bear will distribute the film domestically, with Amazon MGM Studios handling international release.
