When is 'Harry Potter' premiering?
According to Variety, the first season of "Harry Potter" is expected to premiere on HBO in the Spring of 2026. If everything goes according to plan, the series will be made up of 7 seasons, with each season adapting one of the J.K. Rowling books.
Season 2 is likely to enter production after a short break following the premiere of season 1. The project is an ambitious one, and likely one that will last around a decade. Lithgow, 79, who's playing Albus Dumbledore, revealed in an interview with Screen Slate that signing on to the project “was not an easy decision because it’s going to define me for the last chapter of my life."
"I’ll be about 87 years old at the wrap party, but I’ve said yes.”
