Formula 1 is celebrating 75 years. The sport has evolved massively through the years due to its reliance on technology. Thanks to the work of photographers over the years, F1 events feature some of the most stunning and historical images captured in sports, with celebrities, royals, and incredible moments captured on camera forever.

The first F1 race

The first Formula 1 race was The British Grand Prix, hosted in Silverstone, England. 

The winner was Giuseppe Farina, of Italy.

The race was attended by King George VI

The British Grand Prix was attended by some of the nation's leading royals, including King George IV, Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret.

The royals of Monaco at the Monaco Grand Prix

Princess Grace and Prince Rainier of Monaco often attended the Monaco Grand Prix, with their family continuing that tradition.

The first Grand Prix was televised in color in 1967

The German Grand Prix of 1967 was the first race to be televised in color. That year, the winner was Denny Hulme.

Michael Schumacher wins the Germany Grand Prix
