Kaia Gerber steps out in Los Angeles after sharing a heartfelt tribute to her brother Presley

Kaia Gerber was photographed in Los Angeles following the emotional tribute she shared to her late brother, Presley Gerber.

The model kept her look casual, pairing a blue sweatshirt with loose black pants and black ballet flats. She wore her hair in a relaxed updo and finished the outfit with dark sunglasses, a patterned shoulder bag and a pendant necklace.

The sighting comes after Kaia honored Presley on Instagram on October 18, sharing family photographs and memories of their relationship. 

Presley, the eldest child of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, died on September 20 at age 27.

In her message, Kaia reflected on the love that had connected them since childhood, writing, “I was born loving you. I will die loving you.” Her tribute celebrated her brother’s compassion and the bond they shared throughout their lives. 

Alongside childhood photographs and videos, she recalled how Presley had always been the sibling to experience things first. In one particularly moving memory, she described how he had his ear pierced before she did, helping her feel less afraid of getting her own done. That familiar childhood dynamic took on a heartbreaking meaning as she reflected on his loss.

Crawford and Rande also remembered their son in a family statement shared on October 18. They celebrated his kindness and vulnerability, expressed gratitude for the years they had together, and thanked those who had offered compassion and support. The family has requested privacy as they grieve. 

A bond that went beyond their shared modeling careers:

Long before they shared runways and campaigns, Kaia and Presley were growing up together in Malibu, with many of the everyday experiences familiar to other siblings.

In a January 2026 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Kaia recalled reading the books assigned to her older brother at school, including works by Ray Bradbury and John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men. 

She also reflected on how differently they sometimes remembered the same childhood, something she said had helped her appreciate that people can experience a shared upbringing in different ways.

Their affection for each other was also visible in a particularly personal gesture in February 2018, when Presley had Kaia’s name tattooed on his left arm. 

Kaia accompanied him to the appointment at New York’s Bang Bang Tattoos and shared a photograph of the design on Instagram Stories, calling him the “Best big bro ever.”

As their modeling careers developed, they continued to share important milestones. Presley sat in the front row for Kaia’s Calvin Klein runway debut in September 2017, and the siblings both walked in Burberry’s London Fashion Week show later that month. Kaia subsequently recalled how reassuring it had been to see her brother in the audience during her first show. 

Working together also gave them opportunities to show their playful dynamic. During their 2018 Calvin Klein campaign, the pair were filmed playing thumb wars, arm wrestling and attempting trust falls. “It doesn’t feel like work when we’re together,” Kaia said during an on-set interview.
