Cindy Crawford is reportedly struggling with the devastating loss of her son, Presley Gerber, who died on September 20 at the age of 27.
The supermodel is “inconsolable” as the tight-knit family attempts to process Presley's sudden death, sources told Page Six. “They were so close,” one source told the outlet exclusively. “What you saw online and in the press wasn’t just for that purpose. They were a tight-knit family and [sister] Kaia and Presley were more than just siblings. Cindy has to be beyond gutted.”

Cindy, 60, shares Presley and daughter Kaia Gerber, 25, with her husband, businessman Rande Gerber. The couple has been married since 1998.

© @presleygerberAccording to the Santa Monica Police Department, officers responded to a report of a possible overdose in the 1000 block of Berkeley Street at approximately 9:35 a.m. on September 20. Officers arrived to find an adult male deceased, who was subsequently identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Presley.
Police said detectives are investigating the death as a suspected overdose and that there is currently no indication of foul play. Presley's official cause and manner of death, however, have not yet been determined.
© Getty ImagesThe Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said an examination was performed on September 21, but both the cause and manner of death were deferred while additional testing and studies are conducted. The department noted that deferred cases can take several months to complete.
Presley was pronounced dead by responding paramedics at 9:45 a.m. on September 20. Following news of his death, a representative for Cindy and Rande confirmed the family's loss and requested privacy.

Cindy had frequently shared her love and support for her eldest child publicly.
Just months before his death, the legendary model spoke about the bond between Presley and Kaia, telling People in May how proud she was of the relationship her two children had developed as adults.

Presley had followed his famous mother into modeling as a teenager and went on to work with major fashion houses and brands. He also appeared alongside Cindy in a Pepsi commercial that aired during the 2018 Super Bowl, a nod to his mother's iconic 1992 ad for the company.

“Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that's all I need to do,” he said.

His sister had publicly praised that openness. In an interview published shortly before his death, Kaia discussed how addiction can affect an entire family and expressed pride in her brother for speaking candidly about his experiences.
For now, Cindy, Rande and Kaia are mourning privately as authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding Presley's death.
