Lindsay Lohan is embracing the look that helped define her early career. The Parent Trap star revealed her return to her signature red hair in a new Instagram post on this week, pairing the striking transformation with nothing more than a simple red heart emoji.

Fans quickly flooded the comments, with many celebrating the actress's return to the fiery shade that has long been one of her most recognizable features. One admirer even called her "the most iconic redhead in pop culture."

Another one wrote, "I love how you rock every hair color, but I feel red is the most iconic."

How she feels about this look

Lindsay has previously spoken about her love for her red hair and emphasized how much she adores her natural features while having a "conversation" with her younger self in 2023.

The Mean Girls actress wrote on Instagram at the time, "I love my red hair!" Lohan also acknowledged the beauty of her freckles. She said, "They used to make me uncomfortable as a kid, but now I realize how beautiful they are."

A milestone birthday

Lindsay celebrated her 40th birthday last month and reflected on the "meaningful" changes she experienced during her 30s, including her marriage to Bader Shammas in 2022 and the birth of the couple's son, Luai, three, the following year.

She wrote in an Instagram post, "This decade changed everything in the most meaningful ways. I got married, became a mother, and understood a deeper kind of love, one that reshaped what truly matters."

Lohan continued, "Grateful for every chapter that brought me here. For the lessons, the laughter, the love, the unexpected turns, and the people who've stood beside me through it all. This next decade feels different. More grounded. More intentional. More joyful."

Lindsay reprised her role as Anna Coleman in the 2025 movie Freakier Friday and described how she had come "full circle" after first playing the part in the original 2003 film. She said, "Returning to Freakier Friday felt like a full-circle moment, a reminder of where I began and how much I've grown along the way.
