The road to Miss Universe 2026 is officially underway, with national pageants taking place across the globe as countries select the women who will compete for the coveted crown in Puerto Rico.

The 75th edition of Miss Universe is expected to feature more than 130 delegates, making it one of the biggest editions in the pageant's history. Puerto Rico will host the milestone competition at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, bringing together beauty queens from every continent for one of the world's most anticipated international events.

While many national competitions are still scheduled for the coming weeks and months, several countries have already crowned their representatives. Here's a look at the nations that have officially selected their Miss Universe 2026 delegates.

Countries That Have Already Selected Their Miss Universe 2026 Queens

As of early August 2026, these countries have completed their national competitions and named their official representatives for Miss Universe 2026:

Argentina

Argentina became one of the early countries to crown its representative after holding its national final in late May. The newly crowned queen will now prepare for the international competition in Puerto Rico.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica selected its Miss Universe 2026 representative in early June following a competitive national pageant that featured delegates from across the country.

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe also crowned its national winner in June, securing another confirmed delegate for the international competition.

Myanmar

Myanmar joined the growing list of confirmed countries after staging its national pageant in June.

Which Major Countries Are Still Waiting to Crown Their Queens?

Several powerhouse pageant nations have yet to choose their Miss Universe 2026 representatives. Among the most anticipated national competitions still on the calendar are:

Puerto Rico Prepares for a Historic Edition

Puerto Rico is no stranger to Miss Universe, having hosted the event before and producing multiple Miss Universe winners. The island is expected to welcome contestants, fans, and media from around the world during the celebration.
