Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' household just got a little bigger.
Mendes shared the exciting news on Instagram, revealing that she and Gosling have welcomed a new rescue dog named Charlie into their family. The sweet post introduced fans to the pup alongside the couple's other beloved rescue, Magic.
Meet Charlie, the Family's Newest Rescue
"Introducing Charlie, our newest member of our familia," Mendes captioned the post. "We're in love! Gracias to @californiadoodlerescues ♥️."
The actress shared a series of heartwarming photos and videos featuring Charlie getting acquainted with his new home. In one clip, Mendes sits between Charlie and Magic, affectionately petting both dogs. Other snapshots show her playing with Charlie's floppy ears while another captures Magic sniffing the newest member of the family as they relax together.
California Doodle Rescue celebrated the adoption in the comments, writing, "Congratulations!!!! 🎊 they have the best parents in town!!!!"
Mendes replied with a heartfelt message of her own: "we love you guys! ❤️❤️❤️."
Magic Has Already Become a Fan Favorite
Charlie joins Magic, the rescue dog who became part of the family's household in 2024 and has frequently appeared on Mendes' social media.
Earlier this month, the actress gave followers a glimpse of a laid-back summer afternoon with Magic as the two cooled off in an inflatable pool.
"Trying to stay true to the 90's summer I promised myself …♥️," she captioned the July 17 post.
She's also shared several other adorable moments with the pup over the past few months, including a video she described as one of her "happy places" and another showing Magic walking through the flowing fabric of her dress.
"Magic walking through my dress just because she can," Mendes wrote in May. "Thank God for dogs. The joy is endless ♥️."
A Busy Week for the Gosling-Mendes Family
The family's newest furry addition comes just days after Ryan Gosling made headlines for landing a major superhero role.
Marvel recently announced that the Oscar-nominated actor will portray Ghost Rider, also known as Johnny Blaze, in an upcoming film. The character was previously played by Nicolas Cage, who starred opposite Mendes in the 2007 Ghost Rider movie.
Mendes celebrated the casting on Instagram by sharing a fan-made edit of Gosling as his The Place Beyond the Pines character, motorcycle stuntman Luke Glanton. The video highlighted scenes that made him look every bit like a Marvel superhero.
In the caption, she signed off with a playful nod to her own Ghost Rider character, writing simply, "Love, Roxy."
The Couple Keeps Family Life Private
Mendes and Gosling, who met while filming The Place Beyond the Pines in 2012, share two daughters, Esmeralda Amada, 11, and Amada Lee, 10.
While the famously private couple rarely shares glimpses of their children, Mendes has happily made their rescue dogs regular stars of her Instagram feed—and it looks like Charlie is already fitting right in.
