Rob Kardashian has made a rare appearance on social media after joining his famous family to celebrate sister Khloé Kardashian's 42nd birthday.

The 39-year-old reality star appeared in a series of photos Khloé shared on Instagram following her June 27 birthday celebration, giving fans another glimpse of the famously private Kardashian sibling. Khloé captioned the post: "How blessed am I? Missing a few but they're always with me."

Rob was among those celebrating the occasion, posing with his nine-year-old daughter, Dream, whom he shares with former partner Blac Chyna. The father-daughter duo smiled alongside Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Khloé in a rare family snapshot. Rob also left a loving message in the comments, writing: "We are so Blessed to have you! We love you so much!!!"

Rob hopes to return to The Kardashians

Rob has largely stayed out of the spotlight since stepping away from Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2017. However, he made appearances in both the season premiere and season finale of The Kardashians last year, and it sounds like he'd be happy to return for more.

He said, "I would hope to be in season eight. I definitely want to film on season eight." His sister Kim Kardashian has also said she'd love to see him back on the family's reality series.

Speaking to SiriusXM last year, she explained that the decision has always been his. She said, "If he's in the mood and in a good headspace to know that he wants to put himself out there, he's so down. It's just been a choice for him to just want to chill a little bit."

Why Rob stepped away from reality TV

Despite years of speculation, Rob has said his decision to leave Keeping Up with the Kardashians had nothing to do with family conflict. Instead, he explained that it came down to his own comfort level with filming. Speaking on his sister's Khloé in Wonder Land podcast last year, he said, "There's definitely nothing wrong between any of us.

"It just has everything to do with myself. I don't wanna be filming and putting myself in a position where I'm not comfortable. I'm not comfortable in my skin, so why would I wanna go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in when that's not what I wanna do?"

Khloé has also spoken about why her brother prefers to keep a lower public profile than the rest of the Kardashian family. Speaking on her podcast last year, she said she understands his desire for privacy.

She said, "My brother loves to be a little elusive. I call him the Wizard from The Wizard of Oz 'cause he likes to be behind the curtain. We all live in the same gated area, so he lives right next door to me."
