Two years after Justin Timberlake’s messy DUI, it seems like things are doing well between him and his wife, Jessica Biel. This week, the couple was spotted for the first time together since his arrest, making a big statement - and they did it in fashion. On Monday, they were photographed twice out in New York City.
On their first outing earlier in the day, they were on a walk, looking calm and united, with Timberlake even stopping to pose with a fan. The “Sexy Back “ singer wore an oversized black collared pullover, black straight-leg drawstring trousers, light gray and off-white low-top sneakers, and rectangular black sunglasses.
Biel wore an oversized black button-front shirt open over a dark charcoal graphic T-shirt, high-waisted black full-length leggings, gray, black, and white running sneakers, oversized cat-eye sunglasses, a crossbody bag with a logo-print strap, small stud earrings, with her hair styled in a high messy bun.
Later in the day, they stepped out looking glam with Biel wearing a satin black top and a skirt with a high slit, and scrappy heels.
Timberlake wore a striped gray shirt with wide pants and loafers.
The timing of their outing feels intentional. With the DUI anniversary today, June 18, the couple seems to be making it clear that they are overcoming the drama.
There have been rumors circulating for months that Biel and Timberlake were on the brink because of his arrest. Not surprisingly, it came with a bunch of headlines, his mugshot went viral, and he was ordered to issue a court-ordered apology outside the Sag Harbor courthouse after pleading guilty in September 2024.
However, it didn’t tend there. Everything was brought to the surge again in March 2026 - this time with video. Despite his attorney's efforts to stop the release of the body cam footage from the arrest, it was made public due to the Freedom of Information Act. The at times embarrassing video made its rounds, reopening old wounds.
The following month, an insider told Daily Mail that the mother of 2 “issued an ultimatum” because she “had it.” "She does everything with the kids, and she's sick of being publicly embarrassed,” they claimed.
Along with his DUI, an eyewitness told the outlet that he appeared to be intoxicated at the end of the day while he was hosting the third-annual 8 AM Golf Invitational at the Wynn in Las Vegas in April. Sources claimed that if he messed up one more time, she was going to “pull the trigger.”
A Page Six insider sounded a little more positive. While they acknowledged that she’s “definitely been frustrated,” they said they’ve gone through "ups and downs like any couple,” adding that the “recent spotlight and his schedule have made things more challenging.”
Still, they assured, “it’s not anything close to a breaking point.” Another source told Page Six they're “working through” the “tough stretch,” acknowledging the “attention” surrounding Timberlake since the arrest.
Of course, the DUI wasn’t the first time Biel has dealt with an embarrassing situation. Back in 2019, Timberlake made headlines when he was photographed holding hands with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright.
He had to address the cheating rumors, admitting he messed up, but denying anything more happened. "I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love,” he said.
Again, the situation came back to alcohol. "A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment -- but let me be clear -- nothing happened between me and my costar,” he said, adding, “I drank way too much that night, and I regret my behavior, I should have known better.”
While they hadn’t been spotted together since the arrest, Timberlake did honor her on Instagram for Mother’s Day, calling her “The greatest woman I know,” along with photos of them with their children, Silas and Phineas.
The couple met in 2007 and said “I do” in October 2012 after he proposed earlier that year.
