The ruling comes at a particularly successful moment in Romeo's career. Just weeks ago, he unveiled his new sportswear label, Intra, following in his mother's footsteps by venturing into the fashion industry.

The brand, which draws inspiration from vintage athletic aesthetics, launched with a collection centered around retro-style bomber jackets.

What happened?

According to court documents obtained by British media, Romeo was driving his Porsche 911 Carrera when a police officer spotted him using his mobile phone while stopped at a red traffic light.

David Beckham and his sons Romeo and Cruz have all made headlines over separate driving incidents.

The officer reported that Romeo appeared distracted and was looking down at a phone resting on his lap near the steering wheel.

In a statement presented to the court, the officer said he noticed Romeo's head tilted downward and believed he was looking at a mobile phone resting on his lap near the steering wheel. The officer also reported seeing him interact with the device while stopped at a red light.

He further alleged that Romeo was scrolling on the device with both thumbs while behind the wheel.
