Jennifer Lopez hasn't changed. The actress and singer shared a new video, referencing a scene from the hit TV show "Off-Campus." In it, she wears a pair of lace-up jeans that she previously wore while making the music video for the song "Ain't It Funny," released 25 years ago.
The video, shared on her Instagram, shows her and one of the stars of "Off-Campus," with the two recreating one of the show's famous scenes.
In the scene featured in the show, Mika Abdalla, who plays Allie, is dressed up as Jennifer Lopez for a Halloween party, wearing her iconic Versace green dress. The scene has her character dancing with her love interest to Lopez and Pitbull's song "Dance Again."
The clip shows Abdalla lip-syncing along to the show's audio. “I don't know her personally, but I'm pretty sure that's Jlo,” she says. The camera pans, and Lopez appears, lip-syncing Abdalla's own lines. “Oh my God, this is me. Now,” she said.
The two then hug and laugh together, dancing briefly. "It's a new Jeneration of party people," Lopez captioned the post.
Fans noticed that Lopez was wearing the same or similar jeans to the ones she wore for the "Ain't It Funny" music video. Lopez confirmed it in the comments. “They're the same ones from that video,” she wrote, adding a smiling emoji.
Lopez is a fan of the new romance show
In the past, Lopez has shared that she's been following along to "Off-Campus," sharing a clip of Abdalla's scene where she's dressed up as Lopez on her social media.
"love this shooooww," Lopez wrote over the video on X.
The scene went viral, with people praising Abdalla's work and her chemistry with her co-star Stephen Kalyn. For her part, Abdalla knew she was involved with something special while shooting it. "I had a feeling, especially because it happened so early on...," she said in an interview with PEOPLE.
"When we were getting close to the dress being finished and I saw what it was going to [look like], when we were shooting it, I was like, 'huh, I think people are going to like this.'"
