Mariah Carey doesn’t have babies anymore. The mom of two took to social media to share a glimpse into her twins’ latest birthday celebration. The global superstar marked a major milestone for her children, Monroe and Moroccan—affectionately known as “Roc & Roe”—with a simple but deeply heartfelt message: “Happy Birthday, Roc & Roe!!!! 🎉🎁 I love you so much ❤️ Mom.”

Turning 15 is no small moment, especially for Roc and Roe, who, on the mom’s side, have Latino blood. And while they didn’t host a quinceañera, their celebration was full of family, friends, fun, and signature Carey-style flair.

Photos from the celebration shared by Mariah show them with friends in a theme park, which appears to be Disneyland. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s fraternal twins, Monroe Cannon and Moroccan Scott Cannon, who were born on April 30, 2011, even wore coordinated outfits. The twins wore matching black birthday shirts, highlighting just how close they are.

The Meaning Behind the Message

Carey’s caption may have been short, but it carried emotional weight. The singer is known for her glamorous persona, but she consistently shows a softer, grounded side when it comes to motherhood.

Over the years, she’s spoken openly about how becoming a mom changed her perspective, calling her children a source of love and personal growth. "They're a lot, but they give me so much love in return. I wouldn't be the same person without them," Carey told PEOPLE. "I think Nick and I have done pretty well in co-parenting, staying friends with each other so that we can talk," she added.

Five years ago, while speaking to Us Magazine, the “Fantasy” singer shared what type of mom she is. “I’m going to have to quote ‘Mean Girls’ and be, like, ‘I’m not a regular mom. I’m a cool mom.’ There are no rules in this house… No, there are rules in this house, that’s the difference,” she said.

Mariah says she is not the so-called cool mom because she has to assert authority over her children. “I don’t like being the bad guy, I have to say. I really don’t, like, I hate that more than anything. So, you know, I do want to be, like, ‘I’m not really a mom, I’m a cool mom.’ But you’re never a cool mom, like, you just never are,” she declared.

The Grammy winner doesn’t want her twins to take their lifestyle for granted. “I feel like I need them to know that that’s a big deal, that not everybody has that,” Mariah said, revealing she didn’t grow up with the kinds of Christmases her twins are now enjoying: “I didn’t grow up with all the gifts in the land. I kind of love making their holidays great.”

Fans React to the Growing Teens

Going back to Carey’s post, as soon as the photos dropped, reactions poured in. Many fans focused on how much the twins have grown, with some noting how each child resembles one of their famous parents. “The son has Nick’s whole face,” a follower pointed out.

Others picked up on subtle changes, like Monroe switching up her look, while longtime followers reflected on how quickly “Dem Babies” have transitioned into teenagers.

Discussion continued as fans were puzzled about why the twins' custom t-shirts said “since 2007” as if they were celebrating their 19th birthday instead of 15. “no 😅but time flies so damn fast they’ll be 19 just now,” a person said. “They are 15 years old, they were born April 30th 2011. I think the 2007 refers to when she Met their father, they met in 2007 and got married in 2008,” another explained.

“Mariah is always keeping people on their toes with the subliminals lol,” a third joked.
