The celebrity world is smaller than it seems, a fact recently confirmed by Georgina Rodríguez and Lauren Sánchez Bezos. Although thousands of miles separate these high-profile women, a genuine friendship has blossomed between them. The model recently revealed that her children received a thoughtful gift from the philanthropist and author, and she made sure to express her sincere gratitude.
On April 22nd, just days after celebrating her daughter Bella Esmeralda’s fourth birthday in style, "Gio" shared a brief video on her Instagram Stories showing her little ones enjoying Lauren’s gift.
"Thank you @laurensanchezbezos," Georgina wrote in her post. The clip featured Eva, Bella, Mateo, and Alana playing in their garden around a toy that blows bubbles. Having a blast, the children tried to catch the endless stream of bubbles floating in front of them while their mother filmed them up close.
This charming toy is part of a kit Lauren sent Georgina to accompany her new children's book, The Fly Who Flew Under the Sea, which was released early last month.
In fact, a copy of the book could be seen on the grass where the children were playing. This release is the sequel to The Fly Who Flew to Space, the title that marked Sánchez Bezos's literary debut in 2024.
Last month, Lauren hosted a star-studded launch party for the new book. The guest list included the likes of Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger.
The Fly Who Flew Under the Sea explores themes of marine conservation through the adventures of Flynn the fly as he explores the depths of the ocean.
Georgina Rodríguez and Lauren Sánchez Bezos
Linked by More Than Fame and FortuneIt is no secret that Georgina Rodríguez and Lauren Sánchez Bezos are both in relationships with famous, wealthy men. While the former TV host is married to Amazon founder and tycoon Jeff Bezos, the model is engaged to Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the world's most recognized and highest-paid soccer players. However, fame and fortune are not the only things these women have in common.
Georgina and Lauren are also connected by their Latin roots (Sánchez Bezos is of Mexican descent) and a shared passion for philanthropy. Both have supported various causes. In fact, their bond first became public last year during one of "Gio’s" charitable efforts. "What a beautiful soul," the wife of the Amazon creator commented on a post where Georgina documented her visit with children at King Faisal Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The two also crossed paths last October at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week, where they both sat in the front row. A month prior, they both attended the Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women Gala in New York. Georgina even shared a couple of photos from her meeting with the former presenter and other celebrities like Salma Hayek.
