Georgina Rodríguez can add philanthropist to her resume as the social media icon is now supporting another charitable cause alongside her sister. The pair recently donated to help a young Spanish boy suffering from NEDAMSS, a neurodevelopmental disorder that causes regression, loss of speech, and epilepsy.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s fiancée joined forces with her sister Ivana Rodríguez to support the charitable initiative Javi’s Angel, which seeks to take the expensive treatment to Spain to help young Javi and other children living with this condition.

Hearts of Gold

Ivana donated 100,000 euros, which is her prize after winning Top Chef. Her sister Georgina then stepped in to help, donating 140,000 euros. “I started crying. I immediately called Javi’s mother, and she was crying too, overwhelmed with emotion,” Ivana said about her sister’s generous gesture.

“My sister was with her children last night before going to bed and saw a photo of Javi sleeping. As a mother, she deeply connected with that moment,” Ivana added in an interview with our sister magazine ¡HOLA! Spain. “This morning, she made that incredible donation. It’s unbelievable… You don’t see something like this every day,” Ivana said, admitting she could hardly believe it when Georgina called early in the morning to reassure her the transfer would arrive in time.

Who Is Javi, and How Have the Rodríguez Sisters Helped Him?

The sisters have been closely following the case of Javi, an 8-year-old boy from Oviedo living with the rare condition NEDAMSS syndrome. This disease has progressively impacted some of his abilities, including speech and mobility, and currently has no cure.

Ivana has utilized social media to raise awareness about NEDAMSS, aiming to support the broader community of Spanish children affected by the syndrome, as Javi is not the only one.

In November 2025, Javi’s family received a jersey signed by Cristiano Ronaldo, who happens to be Javi’s idol. Arranging the thoughtful gift was simple thanks to "Gio," Ivana's brother-in-law, who helped make it happen due to their close relationship.

"Gio" is known for visiting children's homes, where she brings them sweets, toys, and gifts. She also spends quality time with the children, creating meaningful memories. Upon her initial visit to one of these homes in 2018, the president of Nuevo Futuro spoke to the Spanish newspaper El Economista about her presence. “She strikes me as a wonderful young woman, sweet, caring, and sensitive. And it is wonderful that she channels her popularity into helping others,” he said.

On social media, she encouraged her followers to support these causes.
