Catherine Zeta-Jones celebrates daughter Carys Douglas’ 23rd birthday with emotional tribute and childhood photos

The 23rd birthday of Carys Douglas was marked most memorably by an emotional and deeply personal tribute from her mother, Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Catherine celebrated her daughter’s milestone by posting a series of childhood photos and a message that reflected both affection and pride. Her caption read, "Happy Birthday Carys! May today and all days be a special as you. I love you. Mama."

While Catherine’s message carried the most emotional tone, the celebration also included a tribute from Carys’ father, Michael Douglas, who posted a photograph of himself with his daughter from the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala in October 2025.

In his caption, he wrote, “Happy Birthday Carys! May YOUR new year bring you joy and inspiration,” Michael wrote in the caption. “All the love in the world! Dad.” His message reflected a consistent theme in his relationship with Carys, a blend of pride, affection, and playful protectiveness.

A close family dynamic:

Carys is the youngest child of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. She shares a close relationship with both parents, as well as with her brother Dylan (25), and her half-brother Cameron (47).
