Sydney Sweeney just welcomed her love life to social media. The “Euphoria” star is putting months of speculation behind her by hard-launching her relationship with music executive Scooter Braun. In a subtle but telling Instagram Story, she shared a black-and-white snapshot that instantly began making headlines.
In the image, Sydney is seen smiling directly at the camera while Scooter stands behind her, wrapping his arms around her. While this was their first post of a photo of them together, Sydney contained her feelings by keeping the caption minimal with just a white heart.
Scooter reposted, adding: “Lucky bastard.”
Timeline of Their Relationship
The pair were first linked in June 2025. At the time, neither Sydney nor Scooter addressed the rumors, which only fueled interest. At the time rumors began circulating, Sydney had just come out of a significant relationship, while Scooter, 44, shares three children with his ex-wife, Yael Cohen. The actress ended her engagement to Jonathan Davino in March 2025.
In October, they were captured holding hands. “They are dating and it has become more serious. Still not putting a label on it, but Sydney has been having a lot of fun with Scooter,” a source told Us Weekly earlier this month. Another insider added, “It’s not a casual relationship. It’s game on—it’s full throttle. They are together.”
Navigating Love in the Public Eye
In a candid interview with Cosmopolitan, she shared her take on the challenges of finding love when you are a high-profile celebrity. “After I had a few months of just crying my eyes out, I asked all my friends, ‘How do I do this?’” she shared. “I’ve never dated before. I’ve never even used a dating app.”
Adding: “My friends who aren’t in the industry are like, ‘We’ll just go out and meet someone.’ But I can’t just meet someone at a bar. It doesn’t work like that.”
Despite the challenges, Sydney hasn’t lost her belief in romance, and even referenced Anne Hathaway’s iconic role in The Princess Diaries: “You know in The Princess Diaries when Anne Hathaway says that when she kisses the guy she knows she’s supposed to be with, her foot will flip up?” she said. “That’s what love feels like.”
She continued: “The lights will magically turn on. The birds will start flying. The fountains start shooting water. Love is a Disney movie.” Although Sydney has been considered a modern Marilyn Monroe, her perspective on love shows another side of her personality.
