After giving birth to her second child in late November, Vanessa Hudgens is celebrating a postpartum moment. On Monday, the High School Musical star shared an adorable photo with her followers rocking a fitted gray tee and relaxed, light-wash jeans, writing in the caption, “That moment in post partum where your pants finally fit again,” with a prayer hand emoji.

In the pic, Hudgens struck a pose, one arm tossed into her curly brunette hair, and the other grazing her neck. With tousled curls and subtle gold jewelry, she looked natural and makeup-free aside from a pop of color with a bold red lip, which has been how she's been spending most of her days. Last month, she shared a bare-faced selfie lounging on the floor with the caption, “Never any makeup and always on the floor. Mom life lol.”

The actress also looked like she was having a great hair day despite her recently opening up about postpartum hair loss. Last week, she shared a raw and candid look at what happens to the body after giving birth. She took to her Instagram story to share a photo of her holding a handful of loose hair. "And so it begins," she wrote over the pic.

The jeans fitting celebration, postpartum hair loss, and makeup-free moments make up a string of glimpses into motherhood that the otherwise private star has shared with her fans.

She had dozens of moms in the comments sharing their own stories, like Samantha Hanratty, who wrote, “I think I cried when this finally happened (crying laughing face) some will never fit again tho.” “OMG the best day ever,” “Oh man! Such a moment!!!!!!!!!,” and “The best feeling” were among some of the other comments.

Hudgens sharing her progress 4 months later is also incredibly relatable. While many celebrities bounce back to their pre-baby weight rapidly, it's incredibly unrealistic.

A study found that only about 20% of women get back to their pre-pregnancy weight within the first three months postpartum, per NASM. Most bodies take 6–12 months, and some never go back to the same, and that’s medically normal.

Aside from moments of their own lives, the couple has kept most details about their children private, including their names, faces, and even sexes.

After welcoming her first child, Hudgens publicly called out paparazzi for photographing her family leaving the hospital, writing that their privacy had been “disrespected and exploited.”

Since then, they've made sure anything they want to share about them is on their own terms.
