Perez Hilton is opening up about a recent hospital stay and teasing that there’s a lot more to the story.
The 47-year-old media personality posted a series of intense photos from a hospital in Las Vegas on Instagram and Facebook on Saturday, March 21.
"March madness indeed! Have I got a story to tell," he captioned the posts.
In the pictures, Hilton is seen lying in a hospital bed wearing a gown and wristband, with several monitors attached to him. Some of the more concerning shots show four scars on his stomach, along with a tube in his nose and an oxygen mask.
He also included a few softer moments, like a photo of two balloons with encouraging messages and another of him holding hands with a woman who appears to be his mom, Teresita Lavandeira.
A number of celebrities showed support in the comments. Francia Raisa wrote, "Wishing you a speedy recovery 🙏." Meanwhile, Brandi Glanville added, "Oh my God, take care of yourself. I'll pray for you," and Meghan McCain commented, "Hope you’re okay honey! 🙏."
Hilton later followed up with a video featuring clips from inside Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center. In a voiceover, he said, "Before I tell you all this saga that I went through soon, in full detail, I wanted to share something very important. When I moved to Las Vegas three years ago, I heard horror stories about the healthcare here, but I need to let everybody know that I went to Southern Hills Hospital and I received the best care there."
He went on to thank the staff, especially the nurses, calling them “superstars,” and added in his caption, "You are angels, all of you at @southernhillshospitallv! 🙏."
Holly Madison also chimed in on the video, writing, "I hope you are ok ❤️."
Replying to another concerned fan, Hilton said he plans to "share all the details" in a YouTube video set to drop on March 23.
It’s still unclear what landed him in the hospital. But just a few weeks earlier, on Feb. 26, Hilton revealed during a YouTube livestream that he had been dealing with a serious case of the flu. The stream was titled, "I Have Never Been Sicker Than This."
"I am exceptionally sick still. I talked about it earlier, I finally said what it is. It's the worst flu of my life. This is worse than when I had COVID," he said at the time, noting he had been dealing with "nonstop fevers" for days.
"Yesterday, I thought I was getting better, and then by nighttime I regressed. The good news is, thank god, my doctor does telehealth visits and I was able to get a telehealth consultation," he added.
