Nicole Kidman stole more than just the spotlight at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2026, she stole the scene entirely, however unintentionally.

A now-viral clip shows the Hollywood icon casually walking behind Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos as they posed on the red carpet, turning what was supposed to be a polished photo moment into an instant internet sensation.

Social media quickly dubbed it an “involuntary photobomb,” with fans joking that Kidman, in all her legendary Hollywood glory, was simply "reclaiming her territory."

The party, held on March 15, 2026, at the new David Geffen Galleries at LACMA in Los Angeles, had barely begun when the playful moment unfolded, reminding everyone that even the most glamorous nights can have unexpected, delightful surprises.

Earlier that evening, Kidman had already graced the Oscars ceremony as a co-presenter for Best Picture alongside her 'Moulin Rouge!' co-star Ewan McGregor, and she did not disappoint at the Vanity Fair after-party.

The actress arrived in a golden haute couture Chanel dress featuring a three-dimensional fishnet effect and subtly frayed details on the sleeves and hem.

The gown’s slightly unfinished artistry gave it a sculptural, almost ethereal quality, a nod, perhaps, to her iconic role as Satine, celebrating the 25th anniversary of 'Moulin Rouge!' Black open-toe heels and a black bag with a silver chain completed the ensemble, ensuring that every angle captured the right mix of elegance and drama.

Over the course of the night, Kidman would wear two distinct Chanel looks, each one a masterclass in refined texture and old-Hollywood glamour, solidifying her as the undisputed style queen of the evening.

Meanwhile, Lauren Sánchez Bezos and Jeff Bezos embraced the red carpet with a confidence all their own. Sánchez stunned in a sculpted, figure-hugging red gown with a mermaid silhouette, satin fabric that shimmered under every flash, and a corset adorned with geometric details that felt both architectural and sensual.

Diamond earrings and a show-stopping engagement ring completed the look, capturing the cameras, and the attention, before Kidman’s accidental stroll behind them.

Bezos opted for classic elegance, wearing a perfectly tailored black tuxedo with a crisp white shirt, silk bow tie, and polished patent shoes, the picture of understated support as he kept his hand on Sánchez’s waist during their photo session.
