Garner and Greer have been friends for decades, with the two collaborating on different projects, including "13 Going on 30" and now, their new Apple TV series. In a new interview, Garner shared her plans with Entertainment Weekly. "I would like to have a fight with Judy Greer, but a physical fight," she said. "I would like to wipe the floor with her."

Their co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau added some thoughts. "Yes! She mentioned that in the other room, and she was like, she's scared of you," he said.

"I know, I like that," she replied. "We've been friends a long time. I would like to fight her."

Garner and Greer have been friends for decades, with their friendship starting on the set of "13 Going on 30," where they played frenemies. "She was just a really great leader," said Greer in an interview with Insider. "She never complained. She was never late to work. She was professional, but she was also crazy fun and, obviously, so talented. When you have someone like that as No. 1 on the call sheet, you really can't complain about anything. Like, you're an a------ if you do."

More details about their TV show

"The Last Thing He Told Me" is a new thriller series based on a best-selling novel and marks Garner and Greer's second collaboration, with Garner in the lead playing Hannah. In the second season, Greer joins the cast playing a woman named Quinn, the eldest daughter of a crime family. Her dynamic with Garner is not friendly in the books, allowing for Garner's scenario to be a likely possibility.

According to the series' showrunners, Josh Singer and Aaron Zelman, Garner was one of the reasons why Greer was ultimately cast, with her bringing up her friend as the series was being scripted.

"I will say that for us, when we were originally writing Quinn, Aaron and I had a different actor in mind who Aaron had worked with," said Singer to EW. "And when the pages came out, Jen came to us, and said, 'Well, what about Judy for this role?'"

He said that he identified Greer with comedy, and it wasn't until he saw the dramatic work that he considered her for the part. "I was really knocked out. And I thought like, oh, wow," he said.
