Barron Trump acted swiftly when he allegedly saw a woman he met on social media being attacked by an ex-boyfriend. It has been revealed that the college student has been named in a London case involving a woman who has not been named and her former partner, Matvei Rumiantsev.
© ANGELA WEISSOn January 18, 2025, Barron was reportedly on a video call with the woman when he saw Rumiantsev allegedly grab her hair and push her to the floor while shouting “you are not worth anything," per The Times.
He then called 999, London's version of 911. The Snaresbrook Crown Court heard the call, where Barron could be heard saying, “I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up.” The call came in at 2.23 am.
He could be heard pleading with the operator after giving her address, saying, "It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.”
After he refused to answer questions, they responded, “Can you stop being rude and actually answer my questions. If you want to help the person, you’ll answer my questions clearly and precisely. Thank you. So how do you know her?”
He explained that he met her on social media, adding, "She’s getting really badly beaten up, and the call was about eight minutes ago; I don’t know what could have happened by now.” He also apologized for being rude.
Prosecutors said the 22-year-old Russian Citizen was allegedly jealous of their relationship. Barron had tried calling her earlier in the evening.
Bodycam footage showed the woman telling officers, “I am friends with Barron Trump, Donald Trump’s son.”
One of the officers said, “So, apparently, this informant from America is likely to be Donald Trump’s son.” "This female is friends with Donald Trump’s son. She was on a FaceTime with him when this assault happened, and he’s called us."
She called Barron back, who explained to officers that he saw her crying and being hit. “She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something,” he explained. “I just saw a ceiling and could hear screaming. I could see a guy’s head on the phone, and then the camera turns to her crying and getting hit."
He explained the call was between 10 and 15 seconds. "I had someone call the police," Barron said. "I called you guys; that was the best thing I could do. I wasn’t going to call back and threaten him because that would just make the situation worse."

Rumiantsev, a Russian citizen, has denied the charges, which include assault and actual bodily harm, two charges of rape, intentional strangulation, and perverting the course of justice.
