Cardi B has never been one to whisper her plans. She announces them at full volume, usually while walking very confidently toward her next big moment. This week, that moment happened on a treadmill. Just one month after welcoming her fourth baby, the rapper is already back in the gym, breaking a sweat and reminding everyone that tour season waits for no one.
On Saturday, December 13, Cardi, 33, shared Instagram footage of herself walking briskly on a treadmill, dressed head to toe in black with a matching head scarf and an unmistakable sense of purpose. “I told y’all imma be getting ready for tour! Anytime! ANY PLACE,” she wrote alongside the clip, making it very clear that postpartum rest has a hard stop when performances are calling. She added, “Y’all got y’all tickets?”
From Postpartum to Performance Mode
In the video, Cardi hit her stride while addressing fans directly, as if the treadmill were a stage warmup. “We’re in Saudi Arabia, baby, I told ya,” she said, referencing her upcoming overseas concert. “I told y’all after I give birth, I’m getting ready for the Little Miss Drama tour and it’s two months away.”
After finishing her walk, the rapper hopped onto a stationary bike, continuing her workout while delivering a classic Cardi monologue. “Everyone always asks me, ‘Cardi, how did you lose all the weight after the baby? What did you do? You look great,” she said. “I’ll tell you how I did it: Stress!”
She then laughed her way through a holiday-themed plug for her tour, adding, “It is Christmas, it is Kwanzaa, it is Hanukkah, and get your tickets now because in January don’t be hitting me up like, ‘Cardi, there’s no tickets left.’”Cardi multitasking cardio, comedy, and promotion feels exactly on brand.
A New Baby and a New Chapter
Cardi gave birth to her fourth child, a son, on November 4. The baby is her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, the NFL star she has been dating since 2024. Cardi shares three older children with ex Offset, while Diggs, 31, has two daughters from previous relationships.
Last month, Cardi opened up about her postpartum mindset in a heartfelt Instagram post. Sharing photos of her post-baby body, she reflected on how much her life has evolved. “My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons. My last chapter was the beginning of a new season,” she wrote. “Starting over is never easy, but it’s been so worth it!”
She went on to list what that new season includes, from new music and a new album to a new baby and a renewed commitment to herself. “One more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”
Me vs. Me Energy
Perhaps the most powerful line from Cardi’s reflection was this: “This next chapter is Me vs. Me.” That mindset seems to be fueling everything from her gym sessions to her tour prep. “I’ve started prepping for tour, getting my body right, getting my mind right,” she wrote. “There’s nothing that’s gonna stop me from giving you guys the performance of a lifetime!”
Cardi has also been open about how supportive her relationship with Diggs has been, especially during moments of anxiety and pressure. Speaking on CBS Mornings earlier this year, she shared how grounded she feels despite juggling an album rollout, pregnancy, and public scrutiny. “I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong,” she said. “I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
She also credited Diggs with helping her through moments of panic and self-doubt. “He just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong,” Cardi explained, adding that his support helped her push through intense stress during her album rollout.
