Michael Douglas had a special date for the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala; he was accompanied by Carys Douglas, his youngest daughter.
For the occasion, Michael and Carys looked elegant and happy to be out together. He wore a black suit that he paired with a white button-up and a purple tie.
Carys wore a black dress for the outing, with the dress having a delicate and stylish knitted pattern in the chest and top half. She completed the look with matching heels and styled her hair loose and straight, rounding the look with some dangling and red earrings, adding a pop of color that brought the whole look together.
Michael and Carys smiled for the photos together, with both looking comfortable alongside each other on the red carpet.
Michael has three kids: Cameron, 46, from his marriage to Diandra Lucker, and Dylan, 26, and Carys, 22, from his marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones. Michael has maintained a positive relationship with all of his children, with all of them wanting to pursue acting like his father and his family, an acting staple of Hollywood.
The perks of having access to Catherine Zeta-Jones' closet
Carys accompanied her father as Jones was unable to attend the event due to a work commitment. In an interview with PEOPLE, Carys revealed some of her clothing preferences, including the fact that she loves to steal clothes from her mom.
"I feel I love vintage clothes," she said. "I don't really like to buy. I'm not really into fast fashion stuff, just for sustainability reasons, so I feel very lucky that I have a wonderful closet that I can pick from."
Carys revealed that sometimes her mother notices her taking her clothes, which she tries to wave off. "She's like, 'Is that my bag?' I'm like, 'I don't know. I don't think so,'" she said with a laugh.
She also opened up about her plans after graduating from Brown University with a degree in Film and International Relations.
"I grew up doing theater, and I didn't study acting in school, but that's why I'm happy to be in such an informative arts space, so hopefully more of that," she said.
