Keith Urban avoided one of his most personal love songs during his first show after news of his split from Nicole Kidman.

The 57-year-old country star noticeably left “The Fighter” — a duet with Carrie Underwood written for his now-estranged wife — out of his setlist during his Thursday, October 2, concert at Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

The decision came just days after it was revealed that Urban and Kidman, 58, had ended their marriage.

Originally released in 2016, the track includes lyrics such as: “What if I fall? / I won’t let you fall / What if I cry? / I’ll never make you cry / And if I get scared? / I’ll hold you tighter / When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter.”

“It was just a very quick, quick song to write, because I literally thought about Nic and I and our relationship in the beginning, and some of the things we had said all went into that song,” he said.

Urban is currently on his High and Alive World Tour, where “The Fighter” had previously been a staple. At a recent show, he even tweaked the lyrics as a playful nod to his guitarist, Maggie Baugh, singing: “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”

Baugh, 25, however, did not appear onstage with him during Thursday’s performance.

The couple’s separation was confirmed on Monday, September 29, after 19 years of marriage. Kidman officially filed for divorce the following day, citing irreconcilable differences and marking the same date as their separation.

Court documents show the Babygirl actress requested to be named the “primary residential parent” of the pair’s two daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14. Kidman is also mom to Bella, 32, and Connor, 30, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

According to their parenting agreement, the younger children will reside with Kidman for 306 days out of the year, while Urban will have custody for 59 days, including alternating weekends. Both parents will jointly decide on major matters for Sunday and Faith, though the documents state that “in the unlikely event that the parties do not agree on a major decision for either minor child, [Kidman] shall have final decision-making authority.”
