President Donald Trump commented on the Princess of Wales looking "so healthy" in his remarks at the state banquet. The 45th and 47th President of the United States spoke about Catherine after praising King Charles' "remarkable son" Prince William on Wednesday evening.

"To see Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine, so radiant and so healthy, so beautiful. It's really a great honour," the president said in his speech at Windsor Castle.

It's been just over a year since the Princess of Wales announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment, which she began in late February of 2024.

Catherine shared in January that she was now in remission. "It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal," the Princess of Wales said in a personal message. "I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to."

Over the summer, Catherine described finding her new normal as a "roller coaster." "You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment's done, then it's like, 'I can crack on, get back to normal,' but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult," the Princess said in July, via PEOPLE.

"You're not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you're not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to," Catherine continued. "And actually, someone to help talk you through that, show you and guide you through that sort of phase that comes after treatment, I think is really valuable."

The Princess of Wales also noted that it "takes time" to "find your new normal," describing it as a "roller coaster, it's not smooth, like you expect it to be." She said, "But the reality is you go through hard times."
