Kim Kardashian believes kids should do a lot of things with their time. In an appearance on a livestream, the reality TV star opened up about raising her kids, sharing her thoughts on homework, and surprising many with her opinions.
Kardashian was featured on Kai Cenat's "Mafiathon 3" podcast, revealing that she "doesn't believe" in homework. In a chat with various people, Kardashian was seen wearing a white suit and explaining why kids should use their time for other things when they're at home.
“Kids are in school for eight hours a day," said Kardashian. “When they come home, they do sports, have a life, spend time with their family."
"I think that homework should be left for the school.”
Kardashian voiced her opinions in contrast to Cenat's more conservative view of homework, with him claiming that all kids should do homework for their benefit and shouldn't have all of that free time. "You too young to be playing video games all day," said Cenat, passionately.
Kardashian's take sparks internet debate
Various users left their thoughts in the comments section of the video, with many sharing why homework is important for kids, especially young ones. “As a teacher who has to deal with 12-year-olds who can’t read and write, they need homework! And the parents need to be right there, making sure it gets done which gives them the individualized one on one help that they can’t receive during school,” they wrote.
Other people, took Kardashian's side, sharing that her take is not that unique and is being enforced in different schools. “My son’s school district doesn't allow homework either which is cool, he can come home get a snack go outside have fun, and be a kid,” wrote someone.
“School is like a child’s job, and the same reason why an adult doesn’t take their job home, neither should a child bring school home."
Kardashian is an expert on kids, having four of them with her ex-husband Kanye West: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
