Christian Nodal and his love life are still giving us more to talk about. It's been over a year since Nodal and Cazzu broke up, with him marrying Angela Aguilar shortly after.
In a new interview with Adela Micha, Nodal has addressed all aspects of his personal life, including the end of his relationship with Cazzu, the mother of his daughter Inti.
In the conversation, Nodal revealed his surprise when he saw the statements that Cazzu had made in a podcast, sharing how pained she was over the rupture and Nodal's marriage within weeks of their rupture. Her words obviously caused some controversy, directly contradicting Nodal and Aguilar's previous statements on the matter.
"I felt very lost, because that relationship was okay," said Nodal to Micha. "That was my understanding from the conversations that we'd had. She said that she did it for our daughter and for our family and for herself. I was lost, because in those conversations everything was calm."
"We didn't talk before the breakup about that topic. We never had an agreement that was like 'If you make an interview or I make an interview or we do one together.' No. For us, it was more important to paint an image of togetherness. An image says more than a thousand words."
Nodal shared that before his breakup with Cazzu became public, the two had broken up at least six separate occasions. Shortly after their last breakup, Nodal fell in love with Angela Aguilar.
"We broke up on May 8th, and I continued to make interviews. To be honest, we'd broken up six times in the past. The eighth breakup was the definitive one for me; for her, it was over. No more."
"In April, there was a breakup and one of our conversations was like, 'I don't want to be the woman that you need. Look for another woman, and if I don't know anything, I'll be fine.' That was one of our conversations before our definitive breakup. We spent our last five months together breaking up. We didn't spend over two days together. And we kept coming back together because of our daughter."
When discussing his romance with Aguilar, Nodal apologized to Cazzu, especially since the relationship blossomed so shortly after their rupture.
"That's something that weighs on me, truly. I apologize to my daughter's mother. I apologize. I fell in love. I wanted to keep my relationship with Angela private; that was always my intention," he said. "But she knows the context, where there's always a photo or a video. And I also thought it was unfair that I couldn't live my life. I always wanted to take care of her pain or her sadness, I wanted more time to pass."
Nodal and Aguilar's 'spiritual' wedding in Rome
Nodal also confirmed that he and Angela Aguilar got married in Rome, in a ceremony that he described as "spiritual."
The wedding took place 21 days after his breakup with Cazzu. Nodal revealed that his romance with Aguilar began during the pandemic, after the two worked together on the song "Dime Como Quieres."
"We arrived in Rome. That experience was beautiful, it was an adventure... You could breathe the love, and you could feel it everywhere. In the plane, I said, 'She's my true love. She's the love of my life, with her, I want to die. So we organized a spiritual wedding because we couldn't do it legally."
He revealed that Cazzu was aware of his wedding, with him sharing the news with her before the media got a hold of it. "My ex said that she learned of my relationship with the public. She knew about the wedding. She knew I was married. I told her, I think it was on May 20th. I said, 'Hey, I'm dating someone. She's a public figure. You're gonna learn this and I'd rather tell you myself."
