The model took to Instagram to share her first words since the proposal with her 69 million followers, pairing them with a deeply personal touch, a motto she’s embraced both in her relationship and in her beautiful family life.

Her post featured a curated selection of imagery and symbols: roses in soft pink and white. For her first public statement, “Gio” chose a touching Paulo Coelho quote that captures the essence of this moment: “Love is the raw material for any dream.”

The images played to the soundtrack of Sade’s By Your Side, its lyrics, “When you’re lost, I’ll be there to guide you” and “I’ll keep you safe, I’ll keep you warm”, reading like an intimate portrait of their love story.

It’s a mantra of devotion and commitment that Georgina has made her own, applying it not only to her relationship with Cristiano but also to raising and caring for their “six blessings,” her greatest pride.

She also added a playful nod to her fiancé: the track Cristiano Siuuu by Malereang a Kiil Mustafa, referencing the iconic goal celebration that “El Bicho” made famous. With this, “Gio” gave a lighthearted “Siuuu” to their new chapter together, her way of saying “yes” with both tenderness and humor.

The engagement comes after a vacation that was as full as it was varied. Between dips in the pool, boat rides, and paddleboarding, there were also everyday moments that reinforced their bond, domino afternoons, pizza nights, and browsing crystal shops, one of Georgina’s favorite pastimes.

In her reality series I Am Georgina, the model once joked: “It’s not up to me, I wish! But honestly, I have no more room for rings.” She added, “If I’m being honest, I don’t think it will change much, because I already feel so loved and I have what matters most with Cristiano: our wonderful children and his love every single day.”

Cristiano, also appearing on the show, made it clear the moment would come: “When the click happens…It could be in a year, six months, or a month, but I’m 1,000% sure it will happen.” That “click” finally came this summer, nearly a decade after their paths first crossed in a Gucci store in Madrid.

A Ring Fit for a Museum

The engagement ring has been making headlines for its size and its exclusivity. Jeweler Iñaki Torres said that the piece features a central oval-cut diamond flanked by two triangular-cut stones, weighing an estimated 40 to 45 carats and valued at no less than $6.5 million.

“It’s comparable to Elizabeth Taylor’s engagement ring, one of the most iconic in history,” Torres notes.
