Brad Pitt is considered one of the most talented and handsome men in Hollywood, with an undeniable presence on screen. His raw power and commitment are so strong that they even present themselves in his flatulence.
There have been thousands of headlines in the past about Pitt, but fans probably never expected to get the inside scoop about his farts, until now. In the July 2nd episode of Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, the 60-year-old Oscar winner details a fart so "diabolical" it made him approach acting differently.
The stinky moment occurred when the actor was filming one of his first movies, a "little indie film," which included a scene where he's eating a plate of beans and bacon.
He explained they were shooting in a "little, tiny café" with a full crew of about 60 people inside. “It’s hot," he explained. "You can’t breathe, and my character hadn’t eaten for days, and he gets this big plate of beans and bacon."
While some actors do the old chew and spit method, he fully committed to method acting. “I was like, 'method,' I'm like, ‘Yeah, I’m going to do this right,’” he said. “I just powered down this plate of beans. Take two, do the same thing. Take three, I do the same thing. Take four, I do the same thing.”
Then, Pitt explained, “Something hit me.” “There was nothing I could do. I was stuck in this chair, and nature took its course,” he continued. It was silent but deadly. “Then there was nothing," he said, thinking, "Oh, great. I got away with that one.”
But then, suddenly, "the most diabolical something-something descended on the crew in the whole room, and they fled the café," the Curious Case of Benjamin star continued.
It was a career-changing moment for him. “Ever since then, I pace myself," the Cool World star continued.
Brad Pitt's stinky past
It's not the first time news has come out about Pitt's ability to stink up the place. Back in January 2024, his former roommate Jason Priestley recalled some smelly details of their living situation on an episode of “Live! With Kelly and Mark," revealing the Seven Years in Tibet star was a no-shower champion.
According to Priestley, they used to play a game to see who could go the longest without showering. When asked who would win, he quickly replied, “Brad. Always Brad.” “I don’t think he does that anymore, but back then he could go a long time without showering,” he continued.
In his 2014 memoir, Jason Priestley: A Memoir, he revealed that it was auditions that would usually end it. "Just for fun, we used to have competitions over who could go the longest without showering and shaving. Brad always won. Having to go on an audition meant cleaning up, which is what usually put an end to the streak,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum wrote.
